Listen to this guy...

I heard this quote on talk radio last week. I loved it for a few reasons...one I agree with it. Two - Rush Limbaugh has so many great things to offer but so many people dismiss him literally (not listening) and figuratively (label him) not giving him a listen because there is a stigma associated with his name and therefore don't even give him a chance. He wrote this in 2005 and says it is what he stands for. I believe we'd have a better nation if more people listened to this guy a little more often. Afraid for the socialized direction our country is headed, I thought I'd share.

"I love being a conservative. We conservatives are proud of our philosophy. Unlike our liberal friends, who are constantly looking for new words to conceal their true beliefs and are in a perpetual state of reinvention, we conservatives are unapologetic about our ideals. We are confident in our principles and energetic about openly advancing them. We believe in individual liberty, limited government, capitalism, the rule of law, faith, a color-blind society and national security. We support school choice, enterprise zones, tax cuts, welfare reform, faith-based initiatives, political speech, homeowner rights and the war on terrorism. And at our core we embrace and celebrate the most magnificent governing document ever ratified by any nation--the U.S. Constitution. Along with the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes our God-given natural right to be free, it is the foundation on which our government is built and has enabled us to flourish as a people."

* picture of Rush Limbaugh with "Jack Bauer" (Keifer Sutherland)...I wish Jack Bauer the fictional character from 24 was a real, true guy keeping me and my country safe. Hope there is someone like him still around!!!!!!!

Awesome quote.

I have found that the people who don't like Rush have never listened to him. If they did, they might change their mind about him. (Same thing about Glenn Beck.)

Right on. I don't listen to Rush but I hear of him from dad and now you. :) He's a good guy. Just keeping it real.

I love my wife... her heart... her spirit... and her politics! I love and am inspired by her love of country... and her values and principals that guide her life and our family!

I too, join in echoing the statement... I LOVE BEING A CONSERVATIVE!

Oops... principles... not principals! Where's the spell check on this thing?!

Sorry... it really bothers me when I do that!

P.S. Have I mentioned that my wife is a total knockout! I mean seriously, is that even legal?!
