O Christmas Tree: 2012 + Kyle rides his bike!

We love getting our Christmas Tree at Indian Rock Christmas Tree Farm!
Such a fun tradition Scott's parents started something like 35 years ago.
We're happy to carry on the tradition!  It was fun having them join us for the hunt this year.
Ryan loved carrying the measuring stick...and only accidently hit some of us a few times.
This boy had so much fun exploring through the trees...but would not make eye contact with my camera!
Sean in front of a really lame tree.
We found it!  All the boys got to help cut a little.

But Ryan got to finish it off.
It looks great here...but it's so exciting to get it home and decked out in lights and ornaments!
Karen found this years tree and it was so gorgeous!

Pumpkin pie tastes the best when you eat it at our picnic spot after picking out our Christmas tree!
And eating it with your hands is how it's done.

I love our tradition...and I got itching to see old pics...and found some in our old albums!

When we came home Kyle went out to play with kids down the street...who thought they should take off his training wheels...and the 6 year old neighbor boy got his own tools {biking family} and took off Kyle's training wheels.  His mom had her phone...and promptly started taking photos of Kyle getting on his bike...these are real time photos..no staging...and here you see the last time I touched his shoulders.
Cause then he rode off and never needed any more help!
Hilarious!  Go Kyle!

Cutie pie...this boy really loves his dad.

What a great day!

Love the tree cutting pictures. Exactly how ours used to be growing up. So great that you have carried this on for the rest of our family to live through. And you are so right about that pumpkin pie. Something so good about that! Love the tree you got! What a cute post.

Fun pictures from the past! Fun tradition! Great Tree! Amazing Kyle... learning to ride the bike was like learning to walk. Until he make up his mind to do it, it wasn't going to happen... and then magic!!! there he goes. LOVE IT

I love that Kyle and his friends decided to take off the training wheels on their own. Mark did the same thing. He got out the tools and figured out how to take them off. Love all the pics!
