While our boys play lots of different sports...and we enjoy them all {trust me...I love to watch me some basketball!} {Anything they are participating in;}, but there is sorta a different feeling with baseball to me.
I think it has something to do with the spring weather in the beginning...and being outdoors,
The snack bar - which can be a source of conflict...but can also be cute, fun and super handy!
This year we let Kyle play T-ball before Kindergarten which was a big deal...the other boys didn't get to play anything until Kindergarten...and it adds another level to our schedules...but Kyle was so excited and yearning for his very own team, we went with it and it has been really fun and cute!
To every practice and game, Kyle says to Sean, "Ok...dress me up!"
Sean picks out a coordinating baseball uniform...we have several past team shirts and hats to choose from...and gets him ready...even helping him get them on right.
They put socks on after pants this day...and had quite a time tucking the socks into the pants.
Sean's cast is surely not helping...but this was hilarious!
And during practices, this little dude wants to play too...He hit my hand once and said, "Oh sorry mom, I won't hit your hand again." And he didn't after hitting it soooo many more times!
He LOOVES the batting helmets! And Sean's trying to stay in baseball shape...one handed. He even went to the Batting cages and used one arm!
First game day! Sitting on the bench and cheering his team. He got excited that he gets to be bat boy or clip board lineup boy to help his team!
Watching Kyle's first game...what a hoot! Really fun game!
Kyle was an excellent catcher...getting the ball back on the T every time!
Ready to run at any given moment...hand is in the position!
Pretend catching a fly ball...what he does when I tried to take his picture!
First base too!
Kyle helping dad groom the field after the game.
Baseball Opening Day! Fun walk around the bases and Bounce House mania.
We're excited about this season! Goood times!

What can I say... Kyle is hilarious! Sean has the best attitude ever with his injury... Ryan is a rock star... and Cade is catching up! I don't know how he could not hit your hand every time... that was a no brainer--that he was going to hit your hand... You my dear are the brave one! lots and lots of love... Can't wait to see it all in person!
Baseball. Spring. Fresh. Crisp. Anyone can play. Newness. Family. Skilled, but not that violent. Intellectual. America’s pastime. Used to be the be all to end all. Till the NFL “took over.” Still holds its own in the minds and hearts of many, able to withstand illegal betting in the days of long ago, or the steroid controversy of our days.
Boys and their Dads. Ah. THESE boys and their Dad. AND their MOM. (GO Carrie! Brave, to hold the baseball.)
Boys remember certain things about sports. The preparatory thigns of the uniform. For example, fitting oneself for the helmet and pads of football. Or, in this case, learning how to put on the socks. THEN, how to put the pants either high, like OUR day, or lower like some of today. Back in OUR day (ask around), we used to crease our hats with a certain ridge along the top/front. Our brims were not straight like some modern styles, they were not HYPER-curved like other hyper-modern farmer styles. Ours had the gentle regular curve.
I cannot believe how awesome it is that the OLDER brother help the #3 brother LEARN THE ROPES. What a wonderful legacy of brotherhood.
Kyle, now grown as his older bros.
Cades face is the very definition of open, bright, light, happy, expressive, joy, and did I say “open” (!).
Love, LOVE Sean working out ONE arm. Go buddy. GO!
Love the Nat’s colors. We’ve got a bi-coastal baseball deal going here.
Love Ryan’s gloves.
Lookit Cades smiling face watching BASEball with his Dad.
Kyle looks like a natural behind the plate. He reminds me of Babe Ruth. Go Kyle!
I am seriously loving me some hands at the “ready” (Kyle’s five fingers taut and ready to go into action.
Okay. ONE more time. Check out Cades e-y-e-s.
Opening Day. Sweet. Procession. Honor. Striving. Working. Learning. Succeeding. Learning how to win. Learning how to deal with loss.
Oh my goodness. What a great post. The multiple sports you guys participate in in mind boggling. So fun for each one. I need to see more !! In person. I remember baseball, wrestling and football for your Dad and Grandpa. We had major fun back then. I remember the snack bar at the baseball and at the High School because Grandma Dot bought the candy and later the hot dogs and the cups and such. Riding in the back of the red truck with the stuff and driving right up to the football field to unload. I think Dad worked in there some. We had great family fun. We had one boy and two girls and that was when GAA (girls athletic association) was in it's infancy. I loved the wresting. Kneeling down on the floor of the match slapping our hands on the gym floor "pin, pin, pin!!!!" We were up close and personal. He (Grandpa Scott) would not pin anybody until he looked uptake Grandma Becky first. Fun stuff.
The baseball flags you made turned out cute!
Carrie made those pennants? Missed it first time. Fan-tas-tic Carrie.
Love your pictures and Little League too! You have some great shots of some good looking kids. How fun for Sean to take getting the baseball uniform for Kyle just right
