4th of July Weekend and more pool time!

When we returned from Virginia Scott's sister Amy was in town with her kids!  We got to spend a great fun Independence Day long weekend with them having some pool parties, watching the fireworks from Grandma Great's front yard and more pool fun!

Kyle has turned into a serious water baby.  It was this weekend that he really fell in love with the pool!
At this age, neither Ryan or Sean would play as much or as persistently as Kyle.  Neither of them ever liked to be in this yellow inner tube.
Ryan thought he was such a big boy and got to help dad with fireworks! He told me the other day, "mom, sometimes I feel really old." I say, "oh yeah, like how old do you feel?" Ryan replies, "Like 9 years old!"

All the boys really loved the sparklers and poppers!
Looks like Sean is making an S for Sean!
Kyle and Emma enjoying the bigger fireworks in the sky!
It was cute to see them enjoying the fireworks since a few weeks earlier Kyle was having noise issues and was really nervous about the fireworks we did in Virginia.  He even started the night out a little weary of the noise but got over it quickly!  Emma too was frightened, but went inside took a little nap and came out to see pretty sparkles lighting up the sky!

Thanks Grandma Great for having us over and thanks to her mom Joy for letting us help celebrate her almost  birthday!

Here's what happens when you are near the pool.  Kyle insists that he jump from either the steps or the side and once he's in the pool he insists on "swimming."  The scary thing is that he sorta thinks he is really swimming and he's gotten pretty daring!  We have serious eagle eyes with him around the water because he loves to be in it so much!  This little inner tube is his favorite.  He'll get in and start swimming to the big kids yelling, "I'm coming guys!"  It makes him mad when we keep him in the shallow end so he's not too far from our reach!
He was a nut in this kiddie pool...he'd run and belly flop.
Here are a few examples of Kyle in the water.  He's even more in love and daring now! (a few weeks later)

Also exciting ~ Sean has turned into a swimmer since that weekend too!
Here's one of the first true brother doubles off the rocks!

Ah man! Good times! I'm impressed that you are getting caught up on your blog. Do you even know how behind I am!!! We had fun with you guys as always, it's always so fun to see the cousins play. I still can't believe Kyle in the pool... he's such a swimmer. He might be the earliest swimmer yet!

So FUN. It makes following Kyle around for hours at Bull Run Pool so worth it. He was so hesitant at first and then he was just busy. We would get in the fountains and go under the rainbow squirts and on the slides--he did have preferences of which slide he liked best--the one in the kiddie pool. But when the lifeguard told him he couldn't go down on his belly (that was the only way he wanted to go down and had done so a couple dozen times), it was futile to make him try to sit up, so we distracted him from that for awhile. He got so comfortable with all the fountains and the slides and by the time we went home, he even let me carry him up to and climb on the gigantic bucket castle that dumps mountains of water. We were up on the castle when it dumped and he didn't even get scared... of course I didn't stand where we would get the full flow of the mountain of water, but it was loud and people were screaming and he just took it like a champ. WOW! He is having so much fun. I love it.
